Today was a pretty uneventful day in my house. It was nice and sunny, so we went outside for awhile, and pretty much just hung around. But out of everything that happened today, something that really stands out to me is the fact that our solid perfume turned out EXTREMELY well. After the cheese, I was convinced that the soap was going to be a COMPLETE failure too. But it was not. Even though we substituted coconut oil for beeswax, everything was okay. Of course, it was a little more liquidy than it was supposed to be, but, what can you do. It was our first try.
Tonight we made a blackberry crisp out of our Farmer's Market fresh blackberries for breakfast tomorrow morning. It looks absolutely delicious. Right now it's just sitting on my counter, staring at me, fresh out of the oven, steaming, warm, begging me to eat it, calling my name. I want to eat it right now. But I have to wait for breakfast :(. Ugh. But anyway, I'm keeping myself satisfied by picking the sugary oats off the top of it when nobody is looking!
